Federal Employer Identification Number (EIN)
Start Your Business The Right Way: Hire Us To Obtain Your EIN
The EIN is often referred to as a Federal Employer Identification Number or Business Tax ID Number and is assigned to your LLC or corporation by the IRS to identify your company.
EIN is required to open a business bank account, properly pay and account for any wage / payroll for employees, charge customers, and file federal tax returns after incorporation.
If you only require an EIN for your business, we can obtain it separately. Alternatively, if you need to establish your LLC or corporation, EIN service is included with most of our LLC formation and incorporation plans.
If you have a U.S. Social Security Number (SSN) or U.S. Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) and if you meet the IRS eligibility criteria, we can help you obtain your EIN quickly by working with the IRS on your behalf. Our team will prepare your EIN and submit it electronically to the IRS. You won’t have to deal with any hassle or stress, and your EIN will typically be received within 1-10 business days, after being filed within 2 days.
If you are an international person without an SSN or ITIN, filing an EIN application online with the IRS is not possible. The IRS mandates manual filings, which are more intricate, but we still prepare and file them quickly, typically within two business days.

What Is An EIN?
An EIN (also called a Federal Employment Identification Number or FEIN) is a unique nine-digit tax ID number that the IRS assigns to businesses. Similar to a person’s social security number, an EIN is used by businesses to open bank accounts, apply for loans and licenses, fulfill tax obligations, and to help protect the identity of the business owner.
Do I Need An EIN For My Business?
Wondering if your business needs an Employer Identification Number (EIN)? In most cases, if you’re responsible for paying federal taxes or have employees, you’ll need an EIN. Additionally, many banks require an EIN to open a business bank account.
If you’re still unsure whether your business needs an EIN, ask yourself these questions:
- Is your business a partnership or corporation?
- Do you have employees?
- Is your business involved with mortgage investments?
- Do you withhold taxes on any income other than wages paid to a nonresident alien?
- Is your business involved with nonprofit organizations?
- Does your business handle estates, trusts or IRAs?
- Do you file a return for employment, tobacco, alcohol, firearms or excise taxes?
- Does your business have a Keogh plan (a retirement plan for self-employed individuals or those who work for unincorporated businesses)?
If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, it’s likely that your business will need an EIN.
Benefits Of Getting An EIN
Even if your business is not legally required to have an EIN, there are several good reasons to get one. Here are some benefits of having an EIN:
- Simplifies Tax Filing: Having an EIN can simplify the process of filing federal and state taxes, avoiding late fees and penalties.
- Strengthens Liability Protection: An EIN indicates that you and your business are separate entities, which can bolster your claim to liability protection if your business is sued or goes bankrupt.
- Helps Protect Your Identity: Using an EIN for business purposes helps to protect your SSN from being shared, reducing the risk of identity theft.
- Enhances Credibility: Using an EIN for business transactions instead of your SSN can make your business appear more legitimate.
- Often Required to Open a Business Bank: Account Many banks will require your business to have an EIN to open a business bank account.
